Seahorses
|
|
|
The
seahorses are made up of beginning level swimmers ages 0-3.
Swimmers
are taught basic level swimming skills. At the end of the session
they
are comfortable in the water and can blow bubbles, float on their back
and stomach, jump in the water from the wall and kick while holding
onto a wall or ladder. |

|
Starfish
|
|
The
starfish are made up of intermediate level swimmers. They have
completed all the requirements and have passed the seahorse
group. They progress to learning how to kick on their back and
stomach and how to move their arms while swimming. They can also
hold their breath for five seconds. Starfish learn how to jump
into water that is eight feet deep.

|
Sea Turtles
|
|
Sea Turtles are intermediate to
advanced level swimmers. They have completed all the requirements
of the seahorse and starfish groups. They are now ready to learn
backstroke and freestyle. They may also learn to dive if they are
advanced enough. Breaststroke is introduced as a lifesaving
stroke only, along with elementary backstroke.

Clownfish
|
|
Clownfish are advanced level child
swimmers who have completed the seahorse, starfish, and sea turtle
groups. They will learn all four competitive strokes, flip turns,
and dives. They will tread water and learn many other aspects of
swimming not yet introduced.

Adult Classes
|
Adult
classes are taught according to the levels of the adults and what they
